While little is known about Jonathan Shadowhunter, several prominent texts on Shadowhunter history state that he had a brave orange marmalade cat named Lionheart.
Jonathan and Lionheart fought side by side for many years, and this is why many Institutes keep a cat on premises. They are considered lucky!
