As we prepare for The Red Scrolls of Magic, here’s a little-known fact about Magnus and Alec.
Alec wanted his and Magnus’s wedding rings to be special. He bought two plain gold bands and had a faerie smith engrave them so that the Lightwood pattern of flames was on the outside, and the words Aku cinta kamu (“I love you” in Indonesian) was on the inside, thus honoring both his heritage and Magnus’s.
